My Final Pitches for Final Project (VCDM360)

 

1. A short horror-sci-fi film centers on a young couple, whose relationship is marked by frequent disputes, as they venture into the woods to discuss their problems. Their conversation takes a terrifying turn when they come across an extraterrestrial presence that threatens their lives.

• The movie follows a straight couple as they stroll through the woods to talk about their problems. This short film is classified as horror and sci-fi. It features intense, scary, and suspenseful moments. There are two human characters who are the protagonists and three extraterrestrial beings who serve as the antagonists. The film explores themes of revenge, family, relationships, and valuing moments before it's too late. The first act begins with the couple driving to the woods, parking their car, and walking in, unaware that aliens are hunting them. One of the aliens is an old friend of the girlfriend's family. The first act centers on the couple's walk and their conversation about their issues. The second act shifts to the alien family trying to comfort the couple. In the third act, the alien family chases the couple through the woods, but the couple manages to escape, leaving the alien family trapped.

2. A short film tells the story of a female college student and aspiring photographer who discovers that a malevolent spirit possesses her camera.

• This film tells the story of a college girl who discovers that her photography camera is haunted by a spirit that ruins her photos. It blends elements of thriller, horror, and drama. In the first act, the student returns home to look at her pictures on the computer. The second act shows her encountering a sinister figure in her photos, causing her to panic. In the third act, she shares her experience with her mother, who reveals that the evil spirit resembles her mother, suggesting that the grandmother's spirit is haunting their family to get revenge on the mother.

3. A short drama and thriller film about a lazy and incompetent office worker trapped in the office building because his colleagues pulled a prank on him to ‘teach him a lesson for his incompetence’.

• The film centers around a young office employee who frequently neglects his responsibilities. His lack of diligence has led to discontent among some of his colleagues, who conspire to execute a Halloween prank intended to teach him a lesson. However, they soon realize that their actions carry unforeseen repercussions. The first act depicts the office worker dozing off during work hours while his two colleagues prepare the prank. In the second act, the coworkers lock the door, and upon awakening, the slothful employee discovers he is trapped inside the office, leading to a state of panic. The final act showcases the two colleagues using speakers to produce unsettling noises and manipulating the office lights, which triggers a panic attack in the incompetent worker, ultimately causing him to faint, leaving his coworkers shocked and frightened by the outcome.

4. A short drama and thriller film centers on a timid and bullied artistic college student who finds herself trapped in a classroom as her classmates execute a prank intended to "teach her a lesson" and assert their dominance over her.

• This film highlights bullying in the educatioal system and its harmful effects. It tells the story of a quiet, artistic female college student who is bullied by two other girls in her class. In the first part, the bullied student is working on a painting while the bullies plot to lock her in the classroom to frighten her. In the second part, the other students and the bullies leave early, leaving the shy student alone to finish her work. She soon realizes she is trapped and begins to panic as the bullies laugh. In the final part, the overwhelmed student faints in the classroom. The bullies, now concerned, quickly call for help to rescue her before it's too late.

On September 24, 2024, I completed my house animation on Adobe Animate and I included stars and the chasing color sky effect to turn the day into the night time.

VCDM396: A Simple House Animation (Rough Draft)

During the fourth week of the semester, I created a simple day and night house animation on Adobe Animate that includes a lawn, trees, and plants. The animation is uncompleted, and my class and I are adding more elements, such as stars and a mailbox, to this animation next week.

On September 12, 2024, I created an animation of a bouncing falling ball on Adobe Animate. I learn about the frames and keyframe and classic tween options on Adobe Animate.

On September 10, 2024, I created my first animation video on Adobe Animate. I created an animation of my first name with a bold font with a pink color. 

My Pitches for Short Film Projects (VCDM360)

 My group is currently working on pitches and the proposal for our projects. I have a couple of pitch ideas for a short film, one being a horror sci-fi film about an on-and-off couple taking a walk in the woods to talk about their issues, but they are later confronted by a group of terrestrial beings. Another pitch that I have is a story about a female college student who finds a mysterious letter from a secret admirer in a club meeting. I have a reference photo of the first pitch.
